Inclusivity in Action: Celebrating Diversity at Imbibe Live 2024
For the fourth consecutive year, I am delighted to serve as an ambassador for Imbibe Live. Each year, I return with renewed enthusiasm to collaborate with the Imbibe team, continually evolving our plans to deliver something even more engaging than the year before.
At Be Inclusive Hospitality, our mission is to create a fairer and more inclusive hospitality sector. Our ongoing presence at Imbibe is a testament to our commitment to this mission.
On our stand C119, you will find our team alongside three exceptional drinks brands from our community network. Our goal is to introduce you to some of the founders and their unique drinks brands that we have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few years.
Just like last year, the three products we are showcasing are incredibly diverse. The common thread among them is the use of quality ingredients interwoven with rich cultural heritage, resulting in a range of products that stand out in today’s drinks industry.
On Tuesday, 2nd July, at 2:30 pm, I will be hosting a cocktail masterclass entitled “The Culture of Cocktails.” This title truly reflects the influence that culture and heritage have had on the creation of all three brands we are featuring. Each of the founders will guide you through a cocktail-tasting session while sharing their brand ethos and product details. Ahead of this session, I am keen to provide a bit more information about the brands you will be introduced to and get to taste on the day:
Manya - The first Premium Sparkling Palm Wine. Using sustainably sourced palm from the Southern Nigerian forests, palm wine has been consumed across West Africa, the Caribbean, South Africa, and South Asia for thousands of years. This product combines ingredients native to the founders' heritage with the traditional champagne production method.
Kromanti Rum - Kromanti believes that every bottle of rum has a story to tell, and they strive to capture the essence of these narratives in each of their products. From the first sip to the last, their rums take you on a journey through time and space, evoking the rich cultures and traditions that have shaped this incredible spirit. The cocktail served on the day will perfectly embody this storytelling aspect.
Zimasa Vodka - Inspired by the founder’s Zimbabwean heritage and culture, Zimasa is distilled six times in small batches with air-dried Masau fruit, which is native to Zimbabwe. This process results in a vodka that is both minimal and complex, offering a truly unique drinking experience.
We look forward to seeing you at Imbibe Live and sharing these remarkable brands with you. Let’s celebrate the diverse cultures and innovative drinks that make the drinks industry so vibrant and exciting.
