Stage Submission 2025
30 June-1 July 2025
Tobacco Dock, London
One of BCB London’s key features and pillars is Education and we want as diverse a range of topics and voices at the show as our industry proudly features. With three stages to fill we welcome submissions from individuals and exhibitor companies to be part of our programming this summer.
- The Main Stage features entirely non-sponsored education and is brand agnostic. We pay for your travel and accommodation as needed and an honorarium. All education must be Hospitality Industry focused.
- The Workshop Stage features education with a hands on component – the educator will demonstrate and then offer direct coaching and feedback to attendees as they practice.
- The Brand Stage is for exhibitors to showcase their education to attendees. The Education Board will select these slots to ensure non-duplication of material and quality content and presenters.
Please read these notes before you apply to ensure you choose the right stage and also maximise your chances of being selected by the Education board.
- Talks are no longer than 60 minutes and we generally suggest 45 minutes of education with 15 minutes of questions – to that end we find panels of more than 3 people total to be tricky to execute properly.
- All talks need to pass three of four filters:
- Is it practical? Will attendees learn new skills or knowledge they can use in their personal or professional lives?
- Is it relevant? Do the attendees need to know this information or skill?
- Will it be interestingly presented? Will it engage and fascinate the audience?
- Is it inspiring and remind the audience of the good or potential for good in the world and each other?
- While there is no theme for education we are prioritising UK-based educators and in particular, less well known areas and speakers and to help celebrate the entire UK.
- We are also offering the title ‘The Six Things…’ as a possible angle for education and are intrigued to see how submitters use that. From 'The Six Things we do at X bar that make the biggest difference’ to ‘The Six Things to focus on during tough economic times’ to ‘The Six best things to do to recruit staff’… this is a suggestion.
So submit away! The portal is open until midnight, April 19th and announcements will be made on May 12th.
